The PTA Interim Service is recommended every 6,000 miles or 6 months.

Our PTA Interim Service includes the following checks.

Our PTA Interim Service includes the following checks.
- 1. Check clutch operation for drag, slip or judder noise and adjust where possible
- 2. Check windscreen wiper blade condition and operation
- 3. Check rear wiper condition and operation
- 4. Check windscreen washer and top up if required
- 5. Check operation of exterior lights
- 6. Check the horn
- 7. Check and top-up power steering reservoir
- 8. Check brake fluid level and top up if required
- 9. Check & top up clutch fluid
- 10. Check wheel alignment or tracking and report
- 11. Inspect exhaust system and catalytic convertor if fitted for leaks, security and noise
- 12. Check shock absorber condition and report on any serious leaks
- 13. Check wheel bearings for excessive play or noise
- 14. Check steering rack gaiters
- 15. Check for general oil leaks
- 16. Remove wheels
- 17. Check tyre size and tyre fitted according to side wall instructions
- 18. Check tyres, tread depth, including spare
- 19. Check and adjust tyre pressures
- 20. Check wheels for damage or distortion
- 21. Check brake pads and or brake shoes for wear or damage
- 22. Check Brake discs and drums for wear, cracks, corrosion, scoring etc
- 23. Check brake callipers for leaks and security
- 24. Check foot brake shoes for wear or damage
- 25. Inspect operation of wheel cylinders and report any leaks or defects
- 26. Visually check brake hydraulic system, pipes and hoses for any leaks or corrosion where visible
- 27. Check steering and suspension components for wear and corrosion
- 28. Check drive shaft gaiters for security, condition and report leaks
- 29. Drain and refill engine oil
- 30. Replace oil filter
- 31. Set wheel nut torque to manufacturer’s settings
- 32. Check for timing belt replacement interval and report if due according to mileage or age
- 33. Check pollen filter replacement interval and report if due according to mileage or age
- 34. Reset vehicle service light where applicable
- 35. Stamp service book
- 36. Road test

PTA Full Service

The PTA Full Service should be completed every 15,000 miles or every 12 months. Our Full Service includes the following checks and stages:
- 1. Check clutch operation for drag, slip or judder and adjust where possible
- 2. Visual check for exhaust smoke
- 3. Check ABS warning light for correct operation
- 4. Check brake servo system operation
- 5. Check mirror condition
- 6. Check seatbelts front and rear
- 7. Check number plates condition and security
- 8. Check windscreen for chips & cracks
- 9. Check windscreen wiper conditionand operation
- 10. Check rear wiper condition and operation
- 11. Check windscreen washer operations and top up if required
- 12. Check operation of exterior lights
- 13. Check horn
- 14. Check fuel cap and seal condition
- 15. Check condition and tension of fan and alternator bels
- 16. Check condition and tension of auxiliary belts, (excluding cam belt)
- 17. Visually inspect expansion bottle or tank for condition, leaks and cap security
- 18. Visually check condition of radiator cap
- 19. Check electric cooling fan for operation
- 20. Check diesel heater plug indicator operation where fitted
- 21. Visual inspection of HT leads
- 22. Check external condition of distributor cap or coil pack where visible
- 23. Check battery security and lubricate terminals
- 24. Top up battery electrolyte if applicable and not sealed
- 25. Test effectiveness of starter motor
- 26. Test alternator charging rate
- 27. Check and top-up power steering reservoir (if applicable)
- 28. Check & Top up clutch fluid (if applicable)
- 29. Check and report wheel alignment or tracking and report
- 30. Check radiator condition where visible and report any leaks
- 31. Check coolant hoses where visible for leaks, condition and report
- 32. Inspect exhaust system inc catalytic convertor if fitted for leaks, security and noise
- 33. Check visual condition of fuel lines
- 34. Check propshaft, drive shaft, joints and grease nipples where fitted
- 35. Check and top up axle and/or transaxle oil (if applicable)
- 36. Top up gear box fluid where applicable and if not sealed
- 37. Check shock absorber condition and report on any serious leaks
- 38. Check wheel bearings for excessive play or noise
- 39. Check steering rack gaiters condition
- 40. Check for general oil leaks (report any serious leaks)
- 41. Remove wheels
- 42. Check tyre size and tyre fitted according to side wall instructions
- 43. Check tyre condition, tread depth, including spare
- 44. Check and adjust tyre pressures (including spare)
- 45. Check wheels for damage or distortion
- 46. Check brake pads for wear or damage
- 47. Check Brake discs and drums for wear, cracks, corrosion, scoring and pitting
- 48. Check brake callipers for leaks and security
- 49. Check foot brake shoes for wear or damage
- 50. Inspect operation of wheel cylinders and report any leaks or defects
- 51. Visually check brake hydraulic system, pipes and hoses for any leaks and corrosion where visible
- 52. Check security of handbrake linkages and travel, lubricate and adjust if required
- 53. Check steering and suspension components for wear and corrosion
- 54. Grease steering and suspension (where applicable)
- 55. Check drive shaft gaiters for security, condition and report leaks
- 56. Drain and refill engine oil
- 57. Replace oil filter
- 58. Replace air Filter
- 59. Replace spark plugs for petrol engined vehicles
- 60. Drain out cooling system and replace coolant to min of 40% antifreeze
- 61. Replace diesel fuel filter if external from fuel tank
- 62. Replace petrol fuel filter if external from fuel tank
- 63. Replace brake fluid and bleed system
- 64. Lubricate accessible door hinges
- 65. Lubricate bonnet catch
- 66. Set wheel nut torque to manufacturer’s settings
- 67. Check for timing belt replacement interval & report if due according to mileage or age
- 68. Check for Pollen Filter replacement interval and report if due according to mileage or age
- 69. Reset vehicle service light where applicable
- 70. Stamp service book
- 71. Road test
