Some parts of the motor trade have a poor reputation, regular media coverage of rip-off garages can breed a general lack of trust between customers and garages.
The Motor Industry Code of Practice developed by the auto industry itself. The motor code was launched in August 2010 to encourage garages to raise their standards and the image of the motor trade, and to rebuild the customer confidence by helping consumers identify better businesses.
We are members of the Motor Industry Code of Practice, helping to ensure fair and honest service from our PTA Motoring Centres garages.
PTA Motoring Centres agree to provide the follwing:

- Clear pricing structure
- Repairs and/or service as agreed with the customer
- Repair costs which match the initial quote
- Staff who are trained and keen to do the repair
- An easy complaints procedure
